You can see from the images below that this bathroom had a leak problem for a while. The leak was under the sink, but wasn’t noticed because of the fitted units running around the room. This problem would have only gotten worse over time, so it was in dire need and overdue a refurbish.
Here are some before pictures (click on the images to view them bigger):
- Water stained panel under the sink.
- The underfloor was damp, stained and rotten.
- Dated cabinets.
We needed to fix the leak and repair all the damaged flooring, then fit new modern units and worktops.

Stained, Damp & Rotten Underfloor
Leaking Sink
The leaking sink and unit was removed to access the problem. The pipes were removed and renewed before the sink and new units were fitted.
Finished – Fixed Leak and Fitted New Bathroom Units
If there is anything to be learnt from leaks, it is to not ignore them. You could get away with very little damage if you catch a leak early enough. Putting the problem off to another day will only cause bigger more expensive problems later.
